Greenville, South Carolina

A Welcome from Keith
(WWCM Reunion Planning Committee Chairman)

Greenville, for those who don't know, "Let me tell you, you're about to find out."

Let's start with Embassy Suites Greenville, our hotel! The Embassy Suites Greenville is a beautiful vacation-style resort that offers 18 holes of pristine golf course, a novice-style gym for our more athletic cousins, and a concrete golf cart path that can be shared with our family members who love to get out for early morning scenic walks or runs.

The local fanfare is the finest that any suburban area has to offer. For the ladies, bring your credit cards.  Just 1.5 miles away or "across the bridge, as I like to say." Nordstrom, Saks, Trader Joe's, Target & Haywood Mall offer the latest fashion for all ages.  For the fellas, we have a pistol range, a PGA store, Bass Pro Shops, and several restaurants & bars if you want to kick it with the guys.

Need something to do after dark?  For the young and adventurous, Downtown Greenville is where it's at!  When you think of downtown Greenville, imagine a vibrant downtown entertainment district with restaurants, bars, lounges, & nightclubs. Trust me, y'all, I've been twice in February alone and had as much fun, if not more, than on my Atlanta weekend trips.

As your Chairman, I aim to find as many local businesses as possible willing to accept our large number of family members and allow us to have as much to do and see as possible. I believe Greenville 2025 will be the ultimate memorable experience for our South Carolina return.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Keith

Alex Haley, the author of "Roots" said, "Have family reunions. There is something magic about the common sense of a blood bond. It's not less magic for black, white, brown or polka dot. The reunion gives a sense that the family cares about itself and is proud of itself. And there is the assumption that you, the family member, are obligated to reflect this pride and, if possible, add to it".
